I'm an undergraduate student studying molecular and cellular biology. I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but have lived and studied in Japan, Russia, and Australia. No place beats Wisconsin though, and I'm looking forward to finishing my undergraduate degree and potentially med school at UW.
My love for biological research started when I learned about CRIPSR gene editing. I found it fascinating how combinations of only 20 amino acids created such diverse and unique phenotypes. Now the implications that CRIPSR and other gene editing methods have to be able to edit these genetic codes are endless. Whether its genetics, cellular, or plant biology, I find it all fascinating and with remarkable breakthroughs happening every day, it's a field I would love to explore more in my research.
In my free time, I love to play basketball or really any sport (I was a mean rugby forward during my time in Australia), I also love to cook and ride my bike around Madison.
