I have wanted to be a scientist since I was a child, and I am always curious about how nature works. I obtained my B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. During my undergraduate studies, I took many courses related to plant molecular biology, which deepened my interest in genetics and molecular biology. In 2025, I joined the He Lab as a Ph.D. student, where I am interested in studying the algal carbon-concentrating mechanism (CCM).

In my free time, I enjoy working out at the gym and watching TV series.
